Exclamation /dev/cdrom and /mnt/cdrom are gone

hello,

i dont know what the heck happened, but /mnt/cdrom isn't there as well as /dev/cdrom...can someone tell me why my /dev/cdrom and /mnt/cdrom is gone? and how do i get it back?

Do you have either one of the following by any chance?

/dev/hdc
or
/dev/cdroms/

If you have /dev/hdc and it's your CD-ROM, AFAIK you can just re-create the symlink /dev/cdrom and point it to /dev/hdc
