DHCP server
Hi,
Well DHCP means Dynamic Host Control Protocol. DHCP simply makes your life easier. If you do not want to manually assign the Ip addresses for every single computer on your network or you do not want to assign DNS servers or group policies and things like that...you can use DHCPD (Dynamic host control protocol daemon) on your linux machine and do the task for you. I was planning to implement the DHCP server on my network as well but I just have too few computers to take the burden in doin g it.. Anywayz have fun in using DHCP. |
