Not sure, but why did you install such an old version? I would recommend installing a newer version because many security holes have been fixed.

also I know for sure the newer versions include the software you mention.

Not sure if it comes with that version, but if it does, they will be massively out of date.

To figure it out, open a console and type:
which program_name

and it should return with either a:
/usr/bin/program_name
or b:
/usr/bin/which no program_name in (your_path)

To get these programs, if you don't have them, you will have to go to their websites and download the source code and compile them.
If you are new to linux, then I would just recommend you getting a newer version (7.2, 7.3, 8.0). You can download them for free or buy them relatively cheap.

Go to your local bookstore and hit the clearance stuff or, better yet, find a store that sells sellout / overstock / liquidation merchandise. For example, around here we have Ollie's Bargain Outlet. They buy up crap that people couldn't sell and merchandise of companies that are going out of business.

I got a full-fledged Unix reference manual, hardcover, for 9.99. Better: I got a Red Hat Linux book that came with RH 7.0 (this was over a year ago) for 2.99.

linux 8.0

If you send the cost of media + shipping, I can probably make a copy of the latest redhat linux 8.0 and send it your way. Should not cost more than $6.00 USPS Priority...
