hi,
i'm a newbie to Linux. Yesterday i installed Suse 8.1 pro. My Modem (WINMODEM HAMR5600) is not supported. Today i found a driver in a .tar.gz-file. How can i do a installation of this driver? Can anybody help me? I didn't find a general document which shows a driver installation in linux. thx cu w2k-user |

Didnt the driver come with a README or INSTALL file?
Have you untarred the files?.If you havent use--try tar -zxvf on the file you downloaded |

thx
thank you for your help.
seem to be quite useful to me - also for a gerneral understanding. I've untarred the file, but there was no readme - that was my problem. cu w2k-user |
