/etc/motd resetting on reboot
When I customize my /etc/motd it works fine except when I reboot the system. When I reboot the system, it gets replaced with the kernel version. It's annoying, and I don't know what’s causing it to do this.
I'm using Slack 8.1 btw Last edited by Epsilon : October 3rd, 2002 at 09:09 AM. |

Check out your rc* file to see if there is anything that is overwriting the file.
