get rid of grub
my HD is partitioned "C"=win2K "D"=data "E"=linux, it's dual boot already and i can switch from win2k to linux via "grub" disk. Is it possible to get rid of grub and have linux be include in an option when booting so i can choose on start up what OS i would like to load? thanks...

Does grub not give you the option to load either Windows or Linux? I'm not sure what you want.

ok, here is the scenario, when i want to boot on win2K, i just turn on my pc...... no option for OS displayed .
when i want to boot on linux(RH), i will insert the F-disk first before the pc starts then it will load linux. What i want if possible is never use the grub disk anymore, just show me when boot time the options whether win2k or linux and then i will choose from it. thanks anyway... |

In that case, you're not "getting rid of grub". You're simply installing GRUB to the boot sector of the HD. Your best bet for figuring that out would be to look at the documentation on the GRUB website. I would tell you how to do it, but I use LILO instead of GRUB.

Sorry, I don't use GRUB (look back to my previous post). Maybe someone else here can help. If not, try the documentation on their site (back to my previous post again).
