Half Sound
I can hear sound like when I open a program but when I try to play a music cd I don't hear anything. I looked to see if the volume was turned down or if anything was muted. Any other suggestions?

Did you open a program to listen to the CD or did you just pop it in and expect it to work?

I put in the CD, I then opened the CD Player (after saying 'no' to the autorun) and it starts to play but with no sound. It seems only the sound from the CDROM doesn't work.

I don't know how it's trying to play the music, but it's possible that you don't have an internal connection from your CD-ROM drive to sound card; that could be the cause of the problem.
