Help for VPS sysadmin noob
Hi. I just purchased a VPS server and need to install a webserver and a VPN server to start with. Server is running Linux Ubuntu.

Do you have any recommendation on software needed and how to configure the server to have a stable environment(Secure, robust, reliable)?

Specifically, how do I go about setting up IPTABLES, OpenVPN, Apache etc?


Any tutorials or related threads would be greatly appreciated.

You could try ispconfig3 which is an open-source alternative to cpanel & other web server control panels.
