Initial setup file not work

Hi,

I have an initial setup file which is called .dtprofile in the Unix server. If I switched to Linux server, this file would not work. For example, I have an alias ll='ls -l' in the file. If I was on the Unix server, the command ll would work. If I was on the Linux server, the command would not work. Do you why? How do I fix the problem?

Thanks.

I suspect that with Linux you are using a different desktop environment and login shell, thus the .dtprofile is not being sourced for you.
You should either be able to 'list' your desired aliases in the ~/.bash_aliases file or by placing them in the .bashrc file in the same place (your user's home directory).
