Install GNU tool
Hi, I am trying to install GNU m4. I believe it will help me configure sendmail but I am having difficulty installing it. I followed the instructions that came with the program; when I am login in to my server as a user and run the install I get a "bad interpreter permissions denied" error. When I am loged in as root and run the install I get "permissions denied" error. The Instructions to install m4 simple state, "cd to the directory containing the package's source code and type ./configure' to configure the package for your system. If you're using csh on an old version of System V, you might need to type sh ./configure' instead to prevent `csh' from trying to execute configure itself."
I have tried all of this with basically the same error message. Any suggestions. Last edited by waffe : February 18th, 2003 at 10:12 PM. |

I don't get what you are asking me to do, please explain.
![]() Wait I get it, your asking for the exact error message right? No time to find it right now, but if it is the error message your asking for it is in my first post. I get a different error message depending on if I am logged in as root or user. Last edited by waffe : February 26th, 2003 at 01:33 PM. |
