installing mandrake on ppc buti need a boot strap partition???
i was running os x.1.2 on an imac 400 g3.
i started up from the 8.2 cd and i get to the partion point. i select the completely erase option, and it says there isnt a bootstrap partition. then, i can manually edit my partitions, but what is the label for a bootstrap partition? i hit the auto configure option and it still doesnt work. all helps appreciated |

alright...if anyone cares...i got the installation to work. however, one of the last steps is to install the bootloader. i then get an error and it tells me to start up the firmware and enter
setenv boot-device hda11:,\\txbi or something like that, which i did but i still get the blinking question mark/apple face when it starts up. help is appreciated. thanks, kevin |
