Installing PPPD (Point to Point Protocol Daemon)
I have downloaded pppd (ppp-2.4.0.tar.gz) from here ,but I dont exactly how to install it.Should I just unpack it an execute these command?:
./configure make make install Can anyone tell me how to install it,or give me a link to a tutorial about it. Btw,I am using Red Hat 7.3. |

http://www.google.com/search?q=pppd+tutorial Just unpacking it and configure+make+make-installing it will get it installed, but you will then need to set it up so it works with your machine, and GNu/Linux up so it uses it as you want it to. |

Just curious as to why the headache with PPPD? I know first how big of a headache that can be and that is why I was thrilled when RH came out with a great GUI to do the same thing. And KDE has a nice that I currently use at home called kppp.
Any reason none of these tools aren't being used? Just curious. ![]() |

yes. the reason is that these tools only work AFTER pppd has been installed successfully
