iscsi on red hat linux 8.0

i have gone through the theory of iscsi protocol on red hat 8.0
but i am not getting how to test it tractically,
can i do that by using simply TCP/Ip stack ,what should i do to checkout it in the network.i don't have any scsi devices with me.
can anybody give me some idea how to test iscsi in the network without having scsi devices or SAN
