Get a CD burner and burn it to CD.
To extract to disk, you can use ISO Buster (free) or WinImage 6.0 (shareware). But you still need to burn it to CD.
Keep in mind, some ISO files (Redhat particularly) are not extractable because some files in a dir have the same name (with different lettercase), and Windows is not a case-sensitive OS.

Here is the link -> http://users.pandora.be/smart.projects/isobuster1.htm

Yes, you need a hardware, the CD Burner, so you can make your own CD and install Mandrake from that CD.

If you don't already have a CD burner and don't have any plan on buying it, you should not have downloaded the ISO file in the first place.

You can open/extract that ISO file. The problem is, you wanted to install Mandrake, you don't just want to browse what's in the ISO file.
That ISO file is targeted for users who have CD burners. If you don't, just buy the CD or select FTP install (you need to download the disk image and write to floppy disk).

I don't know what that cdrom.img is. More than likely it's to be used so it can begin the installation from your CD. Note, you still need to burn that ISO file to CD, unless you wish to choose another type of install media.

This is my 4th reply and I already answered your question four times so I'm not going to continue any longer.

Well, I made that disket, and when i restart my pc the installation start.
But the installation is looking for a cd, and all my install files, are on the hard-disk, is there a way to set the installation to read from the hard disk ????

thanx.

Yes, but you do need to create two partitions beforehand.

mount iso

mount /your.iso /mnt/cdrom -t iso9660 -o ro,loop=/dev/loop0

when you do that you don't have to burn the iso-file
