KDE Error: Wrong Charset! - Curiosity ? Only

Several times when I shut down an X Server session I see the error "KDE: Wrong Charset!" reported. It was ignorable, but annoying, so I fiddled and fiddled until I got rid of it by Setting all of the Language Locales to a language (rather than default) and changing all of the Font character sets from "default" to "any". I'm just sort of wondering if anyone else has seen this error (which seems to actually originate from KFM) and, if so, if they no what actually causes it? Every time a new user is added, they need to go in and make the changes I mentioned to avoid the error (if it bothers them) and I'd like to fix this problem before it starts if I can.
