kernel things
ok, i have a simple question: whats the differene between the "Production Kernel" and the "Development Kernel" (both sections of linuxhq)?

A "production" kernel is considered stable enough (by some folks, at least) to run a production system on, a "development' kernel has more leading-edge features in it and may not have all the bugs ironed out.
My suggestion would be to install the kernel sources that came with your distribution, however, unless you have a VERY specific reason to upgrade. Save yourself the download, and sometimes these kernels have distro-specific patches applied to them. |

ok, so its kinda like this: Production is a normal release and Development is sorta like beta version?
