Linux accessing a NTFS NAS
Hello all, I am considering developing a home NAS using a Raspberry Pi running two 1TB hard drives, one for backup/redundancy. The operating systems that will be accessing the NAS will be Windows 7 and Windows 8 and occasionally Ubuntu and I wondered if it would be possible for Linux to read NTFS at all? I'm not too sure on filing systems and operating system compatibility and wondered if anyone had any experience in doing anything like this?

Most Linux distros include the ability to 'natively' read/write ntfs file systems. However, if you are using a NAS then the I/O will be done via nfs - assuming you will network mount the volumes.

Once you are accessing the NAS over network using standard protocols, you can access it from win, mac or linux.
