    Linux group membership

Hi, just a quickie... I tried the manuals and Google.

Can a group be a member of a group? Doesn't look like it but thought I'd double check by asking.

    Thanks
It said 'Insert disk #2', but only one will fit.

I don't understand your question. A group of what? And in what context?

Sorry :-) Group, as in Users. (/etc/group) I've been asked to create a group 'verifiers' and add certain users to it (that's easy) but they also want all the managers to be members of the group. As the managers are already in a group named 'managers' I was wondering if I could add the group 'managers' to the group 'verifiers'

    Thanks

Looks like not - sometimes you can have a mix of users and groups (with the groups identifed by @groupname) in various config files, but it does not look like this is the case with /etc/group.

    Thanks Simon,

That's what I thought. I did more Googling but found nothing.
