|
i just installed slackware on vmware on windows xp. i rebooted but now im not getting any prompt for login or anything after the basic specs are listed: hd space, cd type, etc.
i see no linux specs. any help??

yeah, back up your xp stuff, get crossover office and totally ditch XP. then run only linux (personally i prefer freebsd) with wine configured and crossover office so u can use your microsoft office products

You can get into WinXP, you just can't find Slackware? Or the whole thing is bolixed and you're not getting into anything? Are you running Vmware workstation or server?
Also, you should note that Slackware is NOT a supported Guest OS for vmware AFAIK. |
