Memory mapped file

Hi guys,

Sorry if i repeated this topic. But i need to understand "whats is memory mapped file". it would be great if somebody can show me some pictorial representation of this concept or link where i can understand it better (i tried to understand from wikipedia but cannot). Thanks in advance and sorry again if made some mistake.
