Netcard test

Hi,
we intend to test the bandwidth of a physical network interface on one of our linux boxes. Prior this I want to know how does the network subsystem work in case the netinterface test is done via its real IP address. Not the loopback (127.0.0.1).

The test should be done by the "iperf" tool localy. On process running as a server while the other running as a client. Both on the same box.
