Unhappy network card

hi,

newbie here, Just try to install RH7.0 and found that my
D-Link DFE-538TX have trouble here, try various source
of rtl8139 but have problem compile it, most problem
is makefile fail or if compile from source file, then there
are other error. I'm using other machine to post this.

the question is does RH7.0 not support this card or
I didn't install other rpm like kernel source etc... in order
to compile?

so if RH7.0 not supported this network card, then I should
get a newer card which is save my time. but if the RH7.0
support this card and there is a way to solve this then I
might interested in learning this.

thanks for your guidedance.

I've read that there use to be (still is?) a typo in the driver source code. The word "Adapter" is misspelled as "Adpater". Try correcting this in rtl8139.c and recompile. I'm not sure how current this problem is and if it was ever corrected. It's worth a try, though.
