new kernel debain
ok I have debain and I just comiled and installed a newer linux kernel (2.4.20). everythign goes just fine i boot up again into the new kernel and all my drivers dont kwork anymore. When booting it says my eth0: cant retreive anyhtign or soemthing like that.

works every time for me

Not to mention it interfaces with things like GRUB really REALLY nicely. I never ever have to add kernel images to my GRUB menu manually. They automagically appear in the menu.
