Noobie install w/ mandrake question
I have a cyrix 180 mhz machine w/ 16 megs o' ram.
first question: can I install/run mandrake or RedHat on this this w/ only 16 megs o' ram? second question: mandrake hangs during install process while identifying components. It gets to searching for floppy drive and just locks…. Will I have more success with a RedHat distro or would I most likely get much of the same? Thanks, ab |

You should be able to install a base version of linux. Don't installl X-windows though.
you may also want to run the 'ASCII' version of the install, RH has one, not sure about mandrake. |
