Help!

I am trying to install the FA311 PCI card from Netgear

I downloaded the latest drivers from the NetGear site and followed the instructions.

After MAKEFILE instructions say to insmod fa31x.o

After doing this I get the error -

FA311.o was compiled for Kernel 2.2.5-15 while this kernel is 2.4.7-10

I am totally stuck - how do I set up drivers for this card?

Please help

Thanks

Kevin

Hi Sorry

But the strangest thing happened, I rebooted the Linux box and it recognised the new LAN card, I entered some values for IP address etc and it booted up ok - no driver errors weird.

Anyway I pinged from the win2k box and it registered ok.

Yours

kevin

The best place I've seen for explaining how to setup Apache/Mysql/PHP is here. It's all done from source though.
