problems after installing vid card

ok, so i got myself a Gforce2 MX (ya i know its an mx but hey, it was free ) and i plug it into my machine. everything works great in windows, but when i load up RedHat 8 the mouse freaks out. no matter where i move it it allways stays up at the very top right and when i move the mouse it starts opeing menus randomly. and well, me being a total linux newbie (wooo i can install stuff!) am totaly confused withought my mouse :P. any clue as to what i did wrong?

Have you ran Xconfigurator or XF86Config (dunno what it's called on RedHat) after inserting the video card?

did it work with your old graphics card? this is typical behaviour if you choose the wrong mouse driver....

yes, it worked before i installed the new card. (im running KDE at the moment) every once in a while, like when i would crash a program, it would do this.
