I want to configure four pc considering one pc a linux server.How to configure proxy server so that rest of my pc could get the internet connection to browse.

There's more ways to do so.
1. Temporarily in shell by: export http_proxy=http://hostname_or_IPort/
2. Permanently by putting the above command into a wide (for all) or a user's profile (for a particular user).
3. via some desktop config utilities - I use Gnome on Fedora C6 and you can set it in Sytem->Settings->Proxy network (or so - translating from Czech)
4. Probably some global distribution settings (NIS).
I guess you'll want to go for the second option.
