rca usb cable modem on mandrake 9.1
hey! it's my first time around linux and i haven't a clue on how to config my rca usb cable modem.. can someone help me? tnks

I think you need CDDCether support or something named like that. I'm not sure it made it's way up to the kernel otherwise you can simply find a patch somewhere. As a matter of fact I don't even know if you're modem is supported at all.

just one tip if your mdk 9;1 do not reconise your modemwith drakconf, never ever use it's network configuration again once your modem is configured.
I agree with riv, one solution: [url=www.google.com/linux]www.google.com/linux[url] some distribution might be easier to configure than your mdk, if there is more users using it with the same modem. Your cable Isp is also to provide you a modem that works with your material, and he might have a solution for you if it is really serious. |
