I changed the video mode beyond the limits of my monitor. Now when I rebot Linux, my screen is black so I can't change it back. Is there a way I can boot into a safe mode by holding down a key? If not, how do I boot into the shell mode and edit the config file? The system is setup to automaticaly boot into X windows.
Thank You |

While your screen is blank...press Ctrl-Alt-F1 and it will drop you into a console. Login as root and then run Xconfigurator to reconfigure X.
