Sambia Conflict with localhost.localdomain
I just set up a simple clark connect box and am trying to get Sambia to work with it. My windows box does see it as localhost.localdomain with SMB Client under the name but it can not connect to it.
Whenever I click on it I get a reply that there is a conflict since there is another computer on the network with the same name. Welll....I can't see that happening since I do not. I have 2 Windows 2K PC's and my Clark Connect box which is just a RH 7.1 based Linux box. This also confuses me since my clark connect box is named gateway.clark.connect.lan I do have several other computers some on-line and some not. But all I had at the time is a Smoothwall firewall router which is named smoothwall, my 2 Win2K boxes (with names not localhost.localdomain) and a OS X laptop. I have several other Linux boxes but they are not connected at this time.
Any ideas ???
