I do not have space in /usr when I need to re- install samba ; I am linux
newbie, would U please tell me how to re-shufle space

question:

1. Shall delete all "#******* " in "lost+found" to release space?????????

2. why these files are found "#**********" under "lost+found"?????????

3. how to rm these files are found "#**********"

rm -R -f -d #****** real no. does not work at all!

1. you should look at the files before you delete them but they are probably not important so, yes, you can delete them.

2. They are files or fragments of files from "damaged blocks" created by fsck. often you'll find them after a bad shutdown.

3. you need to escape the '#' char.
rm \#lostfile

I fixed the problem already.
