Squid delay pool feature.
Hi,
I have installed Linux 8.0 server. Along with that Squid-2.4 is installed. I would like to use delay pool feature of Squid. squid.conf file it says that "DELAY POOL PARAMETERS (all require DELAY_POOLS compilation option)" Also "To enable this option, you must use --enable-delay-pools with the configure script." Where and which is this configuration script. Do I have to compile squid. If so can you guid me what steps I should take for compilation of squid. I would like to uninstall squid-2.4 and want to install squid-2.5. Please guide me how to uninstall squid2.4 software on Linux. Thanks. Last edited by ads : May 30th, 2003 at 05:38 AM. |

Quote:
If it's an RPM then just type rpm -e <package name> so it would be rpm -e squid. If you want to go from 2.4 to 2.5 then just update the package. Download the new squid rpm and type rpm -Uvh squid-2.5 or whatever that package is named. The -U flag tells it to upgrade the package. |
