stalling hylaxfax no progress at all.
stalling hylaxfax no progress at all.
http://cirl.meei.harvard.edu/hylafa...x-4.1beta2.html see point page 5 that begins with SERIAL LINES FOR LINUX AND HYLAFAX Linux can use something called the split-device trick for sharing modems for dial-in and dial-out. [[[[[[This absolutely does not work with Hylafax, nor does it work with terminal servers]]]]]] or a plethora of other increasingly popular setups. Hylafax will itself handle providing getty and sharing the modem with kermit, uucp, tip, etc. For more explanation of how this works, take a look at http://www.stokely.com/unix.serial.port.resources another point http://www.hylafax.org/howto/install.html part c. During faxaddmodem you will be asked 'Which device is your modem set to?' Do not answer '/dev/modem' or '/dev/ttySx' etc.[[[[[ Simply answer 'modem' or 'ttySx'. It is better to choose 'ttySx', this way you won't run into lock file problems. ]]]]] If you do choose 'ttySx', then you will want to make sure that all other programs are set direct to the /dev/ttySx, not to /dev/modem. I, for instance, was using /dev/modem for ppp connection to the internet. In faxaddmodem, I chose ttyS1 . Afterwards, my ppp connection would not work. I simply set my modem settings to /dev/ttyS1 also, in my ppp settings. That fixed it. You have to choose one method for all your programs. You can't mix them up with /dev/modem here and /dev/ttySx there I have rc.serial /etc/rc.d/ directory , I did not ln -s /dev/ttyS0 /dev/modem. I do not able to view the incoming fax via IE browser and unable to send fax. I submitted a *.doc to WHFC window client. the "real fax" will "receive some time and the panel said "receive " it does not really recevice any thing at all. can u help? |
