This is the second time I c them in my /tmp but I can't chmod /tmp to 711 or even 755 due to it'll effect my sendmail. I don't hve annonymous ftp account. what can I do? how can I block the hecker out. Thanks.

You've been hit by the slapper worm that uses vulnerable Openssl packages to infect your computer. I suppose you're running Apache with OpenSSL aren't you?
You should check out the discussions at securityfocus.com for this. Here's a link. For future reference. If you're going to run any server on the public internet then please keep up with patches. That goes for Linux, Windows, Mac, etc. It's better for you and the whole internet community as a whole. |
