Touch Screen/XFree86Config-4 Problems

Hi! I am trying to install a Microtouch Touch screen in linux.
I am presently running Mandrake 9.1 , Redhat 8 and Jailbait.
Eventually I would like to configure the touch screen for the Jailbait version 6.

well here are the problems that i am facing.

1)
I could not get the touch screen to work on any of the operating systems. Could any one suggest any drivers or installing procedures. I have usb and serial controllers for the touch screens. I need the xf86MuTouch.so driver where do i find it?

2)
My second problem is ..I tried to mess with the /etc/X11/XFree86Config-4 trying to get the touch screen going on my laptop.
I restarted my Xserver it gave out some error so I reverted back to the backup copy. I rebooted the system and somehow that messed up the grub. Now I am booting direclty to windows.

need som suggestions and help guys
thanks
Jagan
