ERROR: "unable to handle Kernel..."
i get the error:
unable to handle Kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000028 printing eip: when i try to boot linux off of my boot disk, and some times its different address, and some time its a different error all together :P and i was just wondering if anyof you guys/gals knows whats goin on here :P By the way i did get RH to install, i just got a copy of RH 7.2 from a friend. could be anything... are you using a development kernel (2.1, 2.3, 2.5)?
if not, maybe you found a kernel bug. most likely in a driver you are using that is still in experimental state. could also be a hardware failure (RAM or CPU too hot; broken NIC, broken Mainboard, .....) different addresses and errors speak for the latter ![]()
