Upgrading gcc?
When I tried to compile gnome-office in GARNOME,I got this error:

configure: error: You cannot compile Gnumeric with RedHat gcc 2.96.
We have seen too many subtle compiler errors.
Please use another compiler, for example a gcc 2.95 series compiler.

Well,how can I upgrade gcc?I have heard that its very hard,so has anyone ever done it before (manually)?

Try upgrading to a newer RPM from RedHat...should be simple, as it's just a package.
