Upgrading RPM from 3 . x - 4. x
Hello,
I've managed to completely knacker and uninstall RPM from my Red Hat System. Can anybody tell me how to build RPM from source? Cheers |

why would u want to use rpm? the source files are much better and allow for more install options...

It makes life a lot easier of your not an expert, plus it enables uninstalls and upgrades much more easily....
They're probably the main reasons... |

you can uninstall with source files easily enough, make deinstall or make uninstall. i dont consider myself an expert and find building from source files more hassel free.
