I just bought a usb hub (with optional self- powering) - and i cant seem to access it through slackware. I thought that drivers were not needed for USB hubs in Linux. Am i mistaken? And while im talking about drivers- does anyone know of a good home for Linux drivers- kinda like a driverguide.com for linux?

I beleive that all kernels from 2.4.7 had USB support compiled as standard, but am not 100% sure....
What kernel are you using, and make sure your USB support is running by typing the following command.. You'll need to do one of the following modprobes depending on what kind of USB chipset you have: Code:
modprobe usb-ohci OR modprobe uhci HTH's
