I replaced my old vmware server and moved the vm's to kvm/qemu on Fedora. For the most part I'm happy I did. I don't use vmware any more.
I should mention this is for a few low-usage local vm's. I don't know if there are issues in a busier production environment, but kvm is doing just fine for my needs.
