Webmin on Ubuntu 11.04

I've just installed Ubuntu 11.04 to run as a webserver and MOO server.

I am a noob, but generally can solve my problems by Googling, and working through stuff. I have a number of problems that elude me.

1. Since I setup some Firewall rules, webmin is no longer "working". I setup a rule to allow 10000 on incoming. My other rules seem to work OK.

When I try to open it at either http://127.0.0.1:10000 or https://127.0.0.1:10000, the browser reports "can't establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1:10000.

Can't connect from my LAN either. Same error.

2. When Firestarter (my Firewall) loads, it pops a message - "Failed to open the system log".

Check that Webmin is actually running - there was a problem with it not being able to load on startup on Ubuntu. It should be running minisrv.pl (or something similar). If it is running, try https://localhost:10000 from its browser.
