Would a Sound Blaster Card will be able to play MIDIs on Linux

Right now I have a crappy Aureal card that even with the linux drivers installed can't play midis.

So now I'm shopping for a SoundBlaster card. Will that be able to play midis on linux, furthermore the soundblaster card should be one that is supported right out of the box right?
