Wireless not working with Latitude D820 and Linux
Hi all, I have this machine I just set up for my girl and his homework (DELL Latitude D820), I installed Linux Mint 14 and she loves it, but the main issue is that, wireless is not working.
I've searched the web and none of what I've found is working.
I've typed : lspci -vvnn | grep 14e4
to get my wireless adapter information and it is a : Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11 b/g WLAN (14e4:4311) - (rev 01).
Like I said, I tried numerous things and nothings seems to work as wireless doesn't work at all.
Can anyone help me on that one please?
Thanks a lot!

I just tried that, I uninstalled synaptic package called 'bcmwl-kernel-source' and installed 'firmware-b43-installer', and that also installed 'b43-fwcutter' at the same time.

I also edit 'blacklist.conf' since bcm43xx was blacklisted, I've put a '#' at the start of the line.
I then rebooted and nothing works. I don't even see the small 'wifi' light on the dashboard of the keyboard. I still don't get any wifi, and I know it works since I'm swapping HDD with a Windows XP install and when I open up XP, I'm having Wifi, I'm able to connect to wifi and browse internet.

Thanks for taking time to reply.
Finally, I got it working, but not under linux mint. I've installed Kubuntu and I had the same problem, and I did what is specified on the link (uninstall bcmwl-kernel-source package and then install firmware-b43-installer), and it worked right away.
My girl doesn't really mind if it's mint or kubuntu.
