Account password OX 10.3

Hi
can anyone help! I just bought a near new IBOOK G4 from ebay and its great but it wont let me download anything or use my ipod as its asking for my account name and password which was set up by the original owner I have tried to contact him many times over the past week to get these details but never get a response. I have tried to reset it using the instructions in the OX booklet and i reinstalled ox 10.3 but its still asking for a password and user name??

is there any way around this??

Thanks!!!

It's been a while since I've reinstalled OSX on my IBook but I can't remember being asked for a password . I'll have to look at this again.

Anyway, assuming you have the Mac OS X installation disks that came with the IBook then you should be able to just put it into the computer and start installation by holding down 'C' when the computer starts but there should also be a way to reset passwords using this disk.

Google should be able to help: http://www.google.coam/search?hl=en&q=mac+os+x+reset+password

Hope this helps,

Mark.
