listen... the one of macromedia is just an example, cause i get it from several sites.... if you will contact macromedia, you have to contact even myspace, google, mozilla, even the host of this php site....
it has happened with almost every site i visit, and its impossible that all of the sites are wrong, when my friends with mac (not intel-based tho) dont have the problem

have you tried out the user thing?

i only need admin priv to install stuff .... my graphic/video/music/office apps don't require that.
with fast user switching enabled, you are always able to do exactly that 'fast user switch' ....

anyways, i am still wondering how it does detect you when you get online and how it gets on the mac. well, through cookies you said ... well, you have to disable them then somehow for either certain sites/allow them only for certain sites.

interesting theory with that network thing. yeah, make sure the firewall is on. are you on a wireless network? make sure the neighbour doesn't join in either ....

just throwing out some ideas here

give this a try: https://addons.mozilla.org/search.php?q=cookie&app=firefox

it may help you in fighting this thing ...

yep.. i created another used, i installed firefox, i turned on the firewall, i installed the whole bunch of security extensions, and browsed like for 20 minutes... and just hitting the gmail.com page for my email, i got my heroic results.... and it totally makes sense cause a cookie that calls a dynamic page doesnt need admin previl. now my question is, as for right now (6:57 am) im trying to access simply google.com and i get http://www.google.com/index.asp changing my page to the heroic results... how netster gains access like to the cookies that enter my computer? cause now each time that happens i go to my cookies to check and below the address of whatever site im visiting, theres a cookie thats name is netster...

to add on this... yesturday i found another mac user that lives on this same complex and he said he gets that all the time, but the weird thing is that he gets only hooked up to the internet from here... he and myself are NOT hooked up by wireless... we are conected directly to the cable modem.....

another curious thing is that it happens more repeatedly during the day, like from 7am to 5pm approx.. like right now i cant access almost any site, and its very annoying.. but i dont get that so often at nights... weird huh?

i downloaded CookieSafe from the mozilla page, but i cant get that thing that it shows you in the screenshot when you are going to download it... like to choose what cookies to allow or not, realtime when browsing... ive checked the preferences and it doesnt give me that option.... anyone with that installed and know how to get that, or with any other program that lets you choose what cookies to allow and not.....?

Speak to someone in charge of internet at the complex, it looks bizarrely like it's your ISP and it's completely unacceptable.

Okay, we're just trying to help and you crossed the line. Never type in all caps, it's shouting and it's very impolite. Talk to your net guys and come back with a little more netiquette.

It has to be an ISP thing if there's nothing on your mac and other people are infected, that's just the way it is.

When I said you've crossed the line, it's an anglicism for `you've really pissed me off`. Typing in caps (`shouting`) is really bad manners, although you said it was an accident. Do what I did and pry your caps lock key out.

I have never heard of NXS.

Sounds like you've got lazy tech guys.
They shouldn't have you walking away being told to 'live with it' - that's laziness.
There's a few things you could do.

Do a full re-install, like you have been advised.
Wait for Simon Greenhill to get back to you.
Contact your local Apple repairers.

Going to sites over and over and complaining about it isn't going to fix it.
You need someone who is going to get their finger a bit further out than those tech guys.
I recommend you contact Apple directly - if nothing else, they'll find your situation very interesting I'm sure.
