im interested in downloadin a .mov movie file to my mac... i have the url, but to save as in quicktime, i have to buy the pro version
is there any way to download .mov files from a url for free?

nope - you could tell me the url and i dl it for ya
but it really is worth the few bucks for the pro version of quicktime - if you do anything with video you wanna have it

I've done this before.

If you don't know where the link originally came from, or if you simply can't find it anymore, make up a simple HTML document. In that document, make a link with that URL you have. Right click the link and download!
