FFMPEG on OS X
I have installed ffmpeg on os x server with x264 and xvid.
Once installing when i check on "netstat -anp tcp" i reveal that port 1016 tcp has opened and sometimes 1015. Does anyone know about this "backdoor"? How can i close it ? How can I get a clean version of ffmpeg,x264,xvid. Thanks |

well you can get it from darwinports that should be a good source
however i did a check for that port and just found that some windows trojan uses it, but it shouldn't affect you, and thats also a privileged port, that means that a program must be run as root to open it, so i kinda doubt that your copy of ffmpeg is bugged with something like that as that port needs root privileges to use, if it is opening that port, well then stop running it as root, if it isn't being run as root then its not opening the port and of course you can always firewall it away if you can't figure it out :\
