Final Cut Pro Scratch Disks Desperate Help Needed
Hi
I'm not very good with Macs yet, and I think I may have ruined a project I was working on! I was editing a dosumentary on Final Cut Pro, but now every time I try to load the programme is says "scratch disks missing" - what does this mean? what is one and how do i fix it?? it's promting me to reset the scratch disks. meanwhile i can't find any of the files being edited by using the search tool... i have the fear that it's all gone, but i don't know what i can have done to cause this. the only thing that i did was empty the trash can then it wouldn't load. but surely the only time FCP would have anything to do with the it is when i trash something... and i haven't done. i'm really worried, so any help would be much appreciated!! thank you, adam |

Welcome to Devshed.
I'm not a user of Final Cut, but "scratch disks" are just somewhere temporary files get written while it's working. It should be fine to reset these. --Simon
