Help ID this prog. please

It allows you to copy and paste (or type) what you want and it gives you an option where it reads it out to you.

What is that program called and can it be downloaded onto a Windows computer?

I tried Narator but that isn't what I was looking for.

Dude, you're in the Mac forum. If you're looking for Windows software, try the Windows forum.

But I've only seen this on a Mac computer so I'm asking here since this is the Mac forum.

I'll ask if it's available for Windows later then when I find out the name.

Well, this was a feature available in SimpleText long while back in Mac OS 7.x - 9.x. In OSX, SimpleText has now been renamed to TextEdit and still supports the speech option. As far as I understand, the speech system is also extensively built into OSX.

You may be able to find a program that can do something similar to SimpleText/TextEdit by doing a search on http://www.versiontracker.com
