Mac osx finder allow you to connect to FTP server as read only. Any one know of a hack that will alow me to upload to FTP with finder. I have FTP software but finder would be easer to use. This limitation makes me want to go back to my windows xp which allows me to upload/download with explorer.

Ewwwwe, I wouldn't go that far just to avoid uploading the file with an FTP program. Anyway after a 15 minute search on Google I can't find anything that looks like it would do, however the subject of file upload from finder does seem to be a pretty popular complaint among Mac users. If you want this kind of access then you should check out the Firefox plugin, Fireftp – Beta. I haven't looked to much into it but it's surposed to work on Mac OS X .http://fireftp.mozdev.org/ Will keep looking and let you know if anything comes up anyway. Hope this helps, Mark. |

I think I heard somewhere that Tiger will support this. I hope it has SFTP as well, because that's the only way I can access my server...
